Services for Business Support Programmes
Are you providing business startup and growth programmes?

With at least 1 in 5 people in society neurodivergent (and, in all probability, a much larger proportion within the entrepreneurial community), you need to ensure that your approaches and interventions are inclusive for everybody's ways of processing information.

There are many no- or low-cost changes that you can make to your existing programmes that can have a hugely positive effect on neurodivergent participants.

At the NEA, we can work with you to audit your current programmes and support your teams with an action plan and dedicated coach to put recommendations into practice.

Programmes that have been audited and improved to agreed standards are awarded annual NEA Accreditation, a tangible sign of your leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion.

From autumn 2023 to the summer of 2024, the NEA worked with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority on a nine-month programme to showcase neurodivergent self-employment in the region, so that WYCA business programmes could be as neuroinclusive as possible.

Funded by WYCA, a cohort of twenty neurodivergent entrepreneurs from across West Yorkshire were brought together to share their stories, benefit from NEA coaching and mentoring, and to develop their business ideas. Five participants registered their businesses during the programme, and everyone reported that their businesses had grown as a result.
